In the spring of 2024, Eric will celebrate 40 years with Australian Cattle Dogs. His story with these amazing dogs began with Petey, Eric's older brother Scott's dog. Then came Maggie, a cattle dog / Australian Shepherd mix, then two litters of puppies from Petey and Maggie. Peppy was the only puppy that Eric's family kept from the two litters. Peppy and Eric's mom were together for over 16 years. Everyone in Eric's immediate family has had at least two cattle dogs except his sister.
Eric and Angelyne began their life together in December, 2005 and began their work, mission and touring in 2007. Eric began his life with Maddie in November, 2020 and since then, Eric, Angelyne and Maddie have met, inspired and helped humans bond with and train countless cattle dogs of all ages and abilities.
"I just understand these dogs. They are my calling and my heart and soul. They are me and I am them, explains Eric.
